Quiltfriends Birthday Fat Quarter Swap
Would you enjoy receiving fat quarters of fabric on your birthday? If so, this is the swap to join here on Quiltfriends!!
This year the swap will be a bit different. FQ’s will be sent for the entire year to the hostess (that’s me!). I will then send them out in one big package to the birthday gal. The first month to receive their BDFQ’s for this swap will be in March of 2008.
Sign-ups begin today, and will end on Friday, January 12, 2008. I will take a few days to put together the list of what each person likes. This list will be mailed out to each person. The FQ’s for the entire year are due at my house by Friday, February 16, 2008.
Each FQ needs to be accompanied by a card, or note of some kind so that the recipient (and I) know who it is from. If you include a card, you could then put the FQ and the card in a clear Ziploc bag. This would make it easier for me to identify who each FQ is for and from, without misplacing the card and trying to figure it out later.
Please send one SASE. Have the postmaster weigh your package when you take it in to mail it to me. Then have them affix enough stamps to cover the postage back to you. If there is a small difference when I mail it out to you, I will affix the additional costs. Last year, even with the stamps you sent in, I paid out a lot more than I received to mail them back to you. This will help to offset the cost of postage when I mail them as one package from the post office.
All fabric MUST be quilt store quality fabric. JoAnn quality fabric is NOT acceptable for this swap. Please try to purchase colors and/or themes that the recipient has requested on the form.
If you are late sending in your FQ’s, you will NOT be able to participate in any further BDFQ swaps. This is COMPLETELY unfair to the other participants. Please remember: Do unto others as you would like to have done unto you!
