Hello, my name is Monika and I am born and raised in Wuerzburg, Germany. I
am quilting for almost 12 years now. It started with an English Paper
Quilting class at our local "Volkshochschule" and I was hooked ever since.

Since May, 31 1997 I am married to the most wonderful man in the world. I
even could hook him to quilting too. For about 5 years now he is quilting
along with me, although he is one of the few quilters who finishes one quilt
after another (and he didn't finish a quilt in the past 2 years ....LOL...
too much else going on). I can't say I taught him well there since I have
more UFO's than I can count and more projects into my head that I wish I
would have the time to do. He often reads the QuiltFriends list over my
shoulder and when I don't pay attention he sneaks a naughty comment in.

In October 1998 Carolina Rose joined our life and time to quilt became
scarce, but she was a good little girl and went to bed early so I still had
the nights to do some quilting, but my quilt producing slowed down quite a
bit. Then when Leonie Grace came along in February 2003 quilting pretty much
came to a halt, but I manage to make a baby quilt here and there for friends
who are expecting. Leonie is a lively little thing and very much different
than Carolina. She has the cutest little smile and when she gets into
trouble, and she does that quite often, she is not afraid to use it and you
just can't be mad at her when she flashes you one of her smiles. I know I
have written "sucker" on my forehead. Carolina became a wonderful big
sister. She is very caring about her little sister and it is a joy to see
both together.

As you can see we are a happy little family and the only thing I wish for is
that it will stay this way forever.
