I was born in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Texas when I was 16 years old. I met
and married my dear husband in 1948 and we were married January 23, 1949. He
passed away with Hodgkin's Disease in 1971.
We have 4 children, 14 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. All very
special people, of course!! Of all the wonderful things in my life, I am
most thankful first of all for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and secondly for my
family. I know so many whose husbands are gone and who have very small
families who live far away. All of mine are within 50 miles of me and we
have family-wide get together's quite often besides all the regular visiting.
I'm a happy camper!
Besides quilting (20 years) I enjoy cross stitching, crosswords, crocheting
and reading, my favorite author being John Grisham. On a tip from
Crazyquilter's, I borrowed "The Cat Who Went Into The Closet" from my library
and enjoyed it very much. I also love the game of bridge and we have a good
foursome every Sunday afternoon, and I play duplicate on the 4th Friday of
each month.
I collect angels and small figurines of little boys and girls. I have found
some darling ones not only at antique shops but also at junk shops and garage
sales.
